Unshaken
A community built on faith, strengthened by family, and grounded in resilience, created for people like you.
Welcome to the Unshaken Podcast, where you don’t have to navigate life alone. Hosted by Tony and Kristy, this show is all about living out Faith, Family, and Resilience, not just as a motto, but as a way of life.
Each week, we explore the real joys and challenges of marriage, family life, and disability through the lens of biblical truth. Whether you're an individual, a couple, or a caregiver, you’ll find encouragement, practical support, and unshakable hope in Christ.
We’re here to build a Christ-centered community where real stories matter, struggles are honored, and no one has to feel alone. If you’ve ever felt unseen, unheard, or unsure how to keep going, we want to hear your story, your questions, and your prayers. Because they matter.
This is Faith. Family. Resilience.
This is Unshaken.

🎙️ Episode 31: Every Burden Isn’t Yours: Putting Down What God Didn’t Give You
Are you carrying things that God never asked you to carry?
In Episode 31 of Unshaken, Kristy shares a personal story from a season when life felt like too much: work, school, family transitions, and the weight of trying to hold everything together. If you have been saying yes to everyone, managing everyone’s emotions, or feeling guilty for resting, this is for you.
Faithfulness is not saying yes to everything. It is carrying what God gives you and releasing the rest.

Kristy walks through Matthew 11:28 and Psalm 55:22 and names a hard truth: not every burden that lands in your lap belongs on your shoulders. She talks about boundaries, false ownership, and the signs you are overloaded: guilt while resting, resentment, and the feeling that even small interruptions make you snap. She offers a practical way forward, including a simple list exercise to identify what is not yours, and a grounded way to say no without becoming harsh. This episode ends with a steady encouragement and a prayer that you would find rest, peace, and room for joy again.
🔶 What You’ll Hear in This Episode:
