🎙️ Episode 44: God Goes Ahead of You: Confidence for the Unknown Path

What do you do when you care deeply, but you cannot see what is coming next?

Tony and Kristy share a fresh confidence they walked away with after PodFest, then anchor it in a steady promise from Deuteronomy 31:8. This is for the person who is trying to be faithful, trying to lead well, and still feels that quiet fear when the road ahead is not clear.

You are not stepping into the unknown alone.

If the future has felt intimidating lately, this conversation names why. It is not weakness to feel the weight of what you love. But it is also not your job to carry it the way God can. In the middle of uncertainty, the invitation is simple and hard: trust His nearness more than your readiness, and take the next wise step without needing the whole map.

🔶 What You’ll Hear in This Episode:

  • Why Deuteronomy 31:8 is not a pep talk, it is a promise
  • How God goes ahead of you, walks beside you, and is already in the place you are afraid to enter
  • Why the future feels intimidating, and what to ask instead of “What if I fail?”
  • Why looking back is evidence, not nostalgia
  • Why obedience is the pathway to clarity, and courage is a learned habit

Welcome to Unshaken, the podcast where unwavering faith is real life. I'm Christy, and together with my husband Tony, we dive into authentic conversations offering biblical insights and sharing stories that inspire resilience, especially for families navigating the challenges of disabilities. Join us each week as we explore faith with family and the journeys that keep us grounded in Christ. Don't forget to subscribe so you never miss an episode. Let's stand firm together. Hi handshaken family. It's Christy and I'm here with Tony. And today we want to talk about confidence. So, as you may have seen on some of our social media posts, Tony and I did something super cool this past week. We went to this huge event in Orlando called Podfest. And while we were there, we so we sat in all kinds of talks around um just everything, really, different ways of editing and finding people to talk and just presenting your true voice, like so many things, like hundreds of hundreds of sessions, literally. And so it was kind of where we could pick and choose. And so we picked and chose and we learned a ton. And we came away, I think for probably both of us, Tony, you can tell me if I'm wrong, but I think for both of us, we came away with knowing so many cool new people, as probably the best part. We uh we met a a friend of a friend, and already I think of her as a dear, dear friend. So, Christine, if you hear this, hi. And, you know, we just met some really great people, a lady named Carrie, a lady named D, like just so many amazing people. I could list them all day. And we're thinking that, you know, in the coming weeks, months, you guys may hear from some of them too. Um, because we're thinking about, you know, bringing some people on to kind of lend their expertise to some of the topics that we bring to you. But all of this to say, um, when we went to Podfest, we both went sort of feeling like, and we talk about this all the time with you guys, that we're doing the best we can, we're learning as we go. Um, and there's some uncertainty as part of that. We're never really sure if we're getting it exactly right. We're trying to, you know, to listen to what God gives us and and be just be honoring to that and to follow his directions and also to learn the best we can and really to do right by you guys, because I mean, you guys are what it's all about. If we don't have anybody to listen, there's no point in saying the words. And so we both went um sort of hoping that we would find, I don't know, affirmation, confirmation, or just if we're doing it wrong, would that we would learn, you know, how to maybe write that um for you guys. And what I left with is just a really renewed sense of confidence, even though we don't know what the future holds, even though we don't really have the specifics of our path forward. Um Tony, is uh do you do you feel the same? Do you feel Yeah?

Tony

It's went into this uh kind of uh afraid, if I'm if I'm honest, just of like, oh gosh, am I gonna learn that that I've done everything wrong from a technical, you know, side of it and and like I'm using the wrong tools and the wrong programs and just doing it all wrong and and you know came away just understanding that no, I had I haven't gotten it all wrong, and and um a lot of the a lot of the instincts that Christy and I have had, you know, over the over the past ten months or so have been right, and uh but just to echo what Christy said, we've we met so many amazing, amazing people. Um, and I think that's the biggest takeaway that I will take away from Podfests is just how amazing the uh the people are and just the the family feel that we got kind of as soon as we as soon as we got there, really.

Kristy

So I felt the same. I it was amazing to me that we didn't know really anybody when we went there. We didn't know some of these people have like hugely successful podcasts, they've been doing it for years, some of them for decades, um, with some of them even in the millions of listens. Like it's just crazy. And then there were others that were like us that are, you know, a few months in or a year in or even a couple years in and just kind of finding their feet. And all of these people, despite the fact that we didn't know any of them, were so not just willing, but eager to share their, you know, their secrets, their tricks of the trade, like little things that would help. I've never been in an environment like that where everybody just wants to help, like truly. And that's what we found here. Like people were just incredible about stopping and helping, and people that owed us nothing, people that are so, like, I guess comparatively speaking, big in the industry, they there was no, I mean, there was no difference. They were just so very human and so very, very kind.

Tony

And there's so much that goes into it. There's so much when we talk about the subject uh of confidence, there's um, there's so many layers to it. Scripture, of course, speaks to this in Deuteronomy 31, verse 8. Well, what's surprising about this verse is how directive it is, and it's just amazing to me to see this. But it says in verse 8, the Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. And this is Moses speaking to Joshua and really giving him in a sense, giving him his marching orders, because Joshua is about to take over the leadership for this massive Israelite community and is going to lead them into the promised land. And so Moses is is saying, like, You've been you've been my guy, you've been you've been, you know, one of my lieutenants, you're going to do this. You know, I think God tells us the same thing. Uh I think God put something on our hearts, you know, put something on my heart, put something on Christy's heart, and you know, and tells us, you know, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. And it's because he wants us to know that he's he's with us. Christine, anything that to add to that? I don't.

Kristy

Just that I think it's so cool that he he goes before us, he clears the path, he makes our way safe, not necessarily from things that are hard, but if we're doing his will, he makes our way safe from things that would derail us. And at the same time that he's gone ahead of us and cleared the way, he's also beside us. Um, we're never alone. And I think um, you know, when we talk about confidence and and especially confidence when we don't know the way, when we're when we're not sure what's coming, it's really easy to feel alone, to feel sort of isolated, to feel afraid because we're making those decisions kind of in the dark. So I think what the scripture brings is that he wants us to trust him, that it's his nearness that brings the safety, not anything to do with our readiness. If we weren't ready, he wouldn't have given the directive, he wouldn't have put us on the path. So that has to become sort of quietly the gravity, and what we have to actively do is trust him and value the his nearness.

Tony

Yeah, this verse is not meant to be a pep talk, it's a promise. Like Christy said, God does not just stand beside us, but he also goes ahead of us, he goes, you know, ahead to to clear the path and then circles back around to walk with us as we are walking the path that he has cleared for us. When we know that and when we believe that, and and truly kind of own that in the sense of like, yeah, I kind of believe that, and but but no, when we truly believe that, we truly have the confidence that he's gone ahead of us and is walking with us in the path that he's already created, it changes what courage is built on, because it's not built on anything that we've done, it's built on everything that he has done.

Kristy

I think so much anxiety about the future and and what we haven't done yet, especially when when we don't know what's coming, is feeling like we should know, like that we need to know. We want to have that, like we want to have the the nav, like the Alexa directions or Google Maps or something lay it out for us so we know where the turns will be and and about what time we think we'll get to where we're going. God never asks that of us. He never, he never gives us the impression that's a good idea. He what he wants us to do is let go of that and trust him. We don't need like the certainty of a of a path. We just need to trust him. And so I think if you're standing at the edge of something that you haven't tried yet, something that is pending before you, or if you're sort of on a path already and you're feeling a little anxious because you don't know necessarily what's coming next, maybe this verse can give you some support too.

Tony

It begs the question why the future feels intimidating. And I think it's it's because we don't have those directions, right? We don't we don't have it all kind of clean and and nicely laid out. But that's not what God is asking us, and that's not what He's providing us either. He's saying do not do not fear and do not be discouraged, and it's because He He is the one that is creating the path. And so some some of the heaviest fear that that we can ever carry is when we care and when we love so deeply about the things that that we are carrying. Some of my biggest fear and some of my heaviest fear is in leading Christy well and leading our family well. Because I want to make sure that I'm doing it the right way and that I'm that I'm not leading us in a in a in a wrong path. If you're in that same kind of headspace, I want you to know that you're not weak because you are thinking about the the people or the things that you were responsible for, but you can't carry them in the way that God can. I have to trust that God is not only carrying me, but also God is carrying Christie, God's carrying my family, God's carrying the ministry that He's put on my heart. And carrying that responsibility is on God's shoulders, it's not on mine. We need to understand that it's not required that we know how things are going to turn out every single time. And we also need to need to remember that what has happened in the past, it's taught us to be cautious. But that doesn't mean that we walk in fear. It means that when we have these moments that feel heavy, we lean into the courage and the confidence that God gives us because of who He is. Again, we have to get out of the out of this mindset that it is all based on us, because it's not. It's not based on my effort or my strength or my wisdom, because if it was, oh my gosh, like God help us all. If it's based on my stuff, because I can't do it. But thank God that it is based on his strength, on his wisdom, and on his will that we are able to make the steps that we are able to make. And so in this space we have to ask what is wise versus instead of asking, What if I fail? Because if we ask what is wise, we're we're saying, you know what, I'm gonna have confidence in in in the path that God has laid out for me, versus if I ask, what if I fail, then I'm now operating from a sense of fear and now I'm scared to even move forward. And we need to continue to move forward, even if it is slowly, we need to move forward instead of being paralyzed by by fear and and frozen in that in that space of fear. And if you're if we are s stuck, if you are stuck, don't make it worse by shaming yourself. Bring the fear into the light and ask God for the right steps that you need to take to in order in order to get out of that fearful state. How do you do that? What do we what if Christy and I always say, it comes back to prayer. Can we pray and can we go to the throne of God like the son and daughter that we are, and say, God, help me out of this fearful state that I'm in in this moment, and help me to have the courage and the confidence to go forward.

Kristy

The really good news there, right, um, is that wherever we go, wherever it is that we're headed, he's not only with us, he's not only gone ahead of us, but he's also already there waiting for us. There's nowhere that he isn't. And his wisdom has this just gorgeous way of just putting things together. Like when I think about, when I think about God as sort of the project manager of our lives and think about literally the most nuanced details of um of the plan that he's had for us, it's just sort of mind-blowing. You know, Tony and I talk a lot about the the tapestry of our lives. And the reason we say that is because it's only looking backward once you've been through the season that you can see what he was weaving. Like when you're right up in it, all you see is threads and you're like, okay, well, you know, hope he's chosen well. Don't really know, right? We can't see it all. But when you look back, it's there. And I think there's been so many times in like across our marriage. I, for myself, I know when um when I was finishing up my master's degree, I was so tired. I was so done. I was frustrated. I had been back and forth with my thesis committee. I mean, it was just, it was just rough. I had very little kids um in the house and it was a lot. And I remember saying literally out loud, God, if you can just get us through this, I promise I will not put us in this position again. Like, please just help me because I'm I'm flagging here. And he did. He he brought us through and I graduated and everything was good. And then not too long later, sure enough, I thought, well, maybe there's a next thing, you know, and and he came through that with us too. But there was no way to know, right? There's no way to know how how it's gonna wrap up, that it's gonna be successful or that there is gonna be a next thing or a next chapter. Um, we just have to trust him. I think Tony probably felt the same way along his path from his, you know, from his bachelor's degree to his master's degree, and now um with him back in seminary. Like we never dreamed, you know, 15 years ago that that this would be the path that we took. When I think even farther back, and I'm like, this is really the very um, again, it's just such a nuanced level to which God has plans within plans within plans for everything. I mean, when Tony was a like Tony was a little boy growing up, and I was a little girl growing up in an entirely different state. Um, we had very different upbringings, very different experiences. Each of us individually, completely separate from the other, has had this path that brings us here. And for myself, I mean, I can, I can take you guys through like through the life experiences and the career path that have brought me here. And at each step, I've thought like, huh, well, that's not what I thought I'd be doing, you know. Um, but it but it's what worked out, it's what came to fruition. And so, you know, all I could do in those, in those times is just trust that, you know, okay, well, this is what God brought. So it must be what he has in mind. And I couldn't have, I mean, you couldn't have paid me any amount of money to pin it all together in the right order to bring us to this place. Like I would have had no idea this is where we were going. But when I look back on it and I think about like why I got this job, why I had this situation, um, why I work at the school where I am now, all of it was to bring me, you know, in this parallel track with Tony to this place where our careers and our experiences and our lives um have really dovetailed into this, you know, to this experience. I don't do you feel the same, Tony?

Tony

Yeah, I mean, and and I've heard it said before by by multiple pastors and and multiple speakers as as you and I have gone to various conferences here and there. If if God were to show you what it takes to get to like where you are, you wouldn't even opt into the path because you would see how hard it was and you'd be like, um, nope, no, thank you. Not not doing it. And I mean, had had you told me five years ago that I'd be starting a ministry and and and we would be doing a podcast and and all the different things that we are now planning, right, that that we're in the middle of, you know, the the books, the the devotionals, the the workbooks, all all the things, I I would have said, you're insane. There's no way that I'm that I'm doing that because I know how hard it is to do some of this stuff, but when I look back, so much of what I have done has brought us to this place and it got me ready for where we are right now. Could I have started a ministry five years ago? Heck no. You know, could could I have done a podcast five years ago? No way. There's the there's there's no way that that could have happened.

Kristy

But I think that's how it works, right? Like so often we only it's only like retro that we can see God's provision and like where He has where He has intentionally brought us you know in the in those moments. I mean, five years ago, like you said, five years ago, I was running an electrical apprenticeship program. Then that job brought me to the next one, which brought me, you know, like it just it's incredible. Uh five years ago we had no idea this was coming.

Tony

Yeah, I mean, five years ago, I I was doing back-end work for a church that was mainly, you know, maintaining a uh a database. But that database and being co-workers with pastors and ministry assistants and seeing the the in and outs of how a church works and how different ministries within a church work I can see now got me ready for this because what I got to see was all the things that you don't see on a Sunday morning. Right? All the all the prep work, all the non glamorous stuff that has to happen week in and week out in order to make Sunday work. There's so many things that I've learned and that I know that you've learned too Christy that you know over the last five years that without that training and without that knowledge and experience we wouldn't be where we are today.

Kristy

We had to take those steps those like some of them were easy and some of them were really horribly hard. But we had to take those steps on that path there there was no other way that was going to bring us to this exact place and time with the knowledge and the skills and the experiences that we have that have made us ready for the things that we're doing now and the things that we'll do going forward. And I think that's such a I think like to me that's a really important point, right? It's it's we're able to look back and see that his goodness was consistent, that he was always even when it felt so like bizarre, like what the heck are we doing? Why are we, you know, why am I like how could it be that this is the job that he he got me, you know? And it didn't make any sense at all. And and as we look back, we can see he was always choosing like always, always, always choosing what was best for us, even when we didn't know it and even when it was hard, even when it felt like it was not what was best for us in the moment. It was what was going to bring us to the next thing. And to me that's really encouraging. Like thinking back on his consistency in goodness, it helps me be braver about trusting going forward without having all of that information. He's never let us down before why would he fail now?

Tony

Looking back is not nostalgia it's it's about evidence. When you remember moments where God kind of carried you it just becomes that sort of bridge for the for the moments that for the tough moments that we're in right now. And so I think that that's what brings us to being able to walk with confidence when we don't have that full clarity. Confidence doesn't necessarily require having a full picture. You know and so like confidence in scripture it's not arrogance or or swagger it's just it's steadiness because it's it's God's word right it's we know that we can trust in God's word. So it's it's the ability to to take a step without needing the whole map, the whole picture the without needing the the full path forward. Honestly I think that that's how God intends it to be I think that's you know I think God rarely gives us the whole picture and I believe it's because he values the relationship so much and he wants us to lean in. He wants us to lean on him the faith that we have in him because it's practiced in those steps, those one steps as a at a time right like you're teaching you know your your kid to ride a bike and you know you've got a you got a hand on that on the back of the seat. So you're keeping them steady but you're telling them pedal and you're getting them to push on those pedals with their feet and at some point without them knowing you you let go but you're right there. And sooner or later they realize oh my gosh I'm pedaling I'm doing it I'm I'm riding the bike and it and and it's because you were there and they knew you were there and and they were steady but but they knew that you were right there. And I think God does the same thing. I think I think he's right there with us and and he and he gets us to take those steps. He gets us to push down on on those pedals and then at some point he lets us go not because he's not right there because he always is but because he wants us to know that hey we can do this. He's given us the tools and and the knowledge and and the all the things that we need in order to ride our bikes right without crashing and burning I think most of the time I think that's completely right.

Kristy

I think after though like a certain number of times that he let us ride up and like set us up for success and we you know we got the win I think at some point he like he backs up a little you know and is like okay I'm here but like you have to trust you have to lean into me and and if we get it right that's great. And if we don't he's like maybe you need another lap in the wilderness like you know and and he waits for us to get it he never leaves us but I think he does sometimes wait for us to to get on board to do it his way um you know before before we're allowed to pass go.

Tony

Yeah and that that clarity is usually usually comes when we're obedient to to what he's asking us to do. Yes and and and so we keep asking God make it clear ring clear and and he's like I will when you go back when you obey when you when you listen and when you do it when you do it my way. Spoiler alert his way is the right way every time every time every single time if you're waiting to feel ready before you obey it's not gonna happen you're going you're going to take another life in the wilderness you are going to be waiting for a really long time God will meet us in the motion God will meet us in the space that we are obedient to what he is asking us to do. Obedience isn't the reward for clarity and that's why we try to make it sometimes rather it's the pathway to clarity. So if we want that clarity let's start with obedience.

Kristy

Yes even when it feels rote and boring and whatever I I think God has let me say God has a sense of humor and I think in his loving way he says suck it up buttercup like this is what is gonna make you ready and so it's for us to to press forward and do it.

Tony

That's where the confidence in who he is really shows up. Yes. I I think confidence when we are obedient to him confidence in obedience is in those small steps that don't that don't look like they're getting us anywhere but it actually is those places and those moments where you're like why am I doing this? Why do I have to learn this? Why why do I have to spend time doing this same robotic thing over and over and over again? But it's because he wants us to learn maybe it's patience that that he needs us to learn maybe it's just hey will you be obedient to me in these small things that maybe are mundane and are small. And if you are then I'll give you a bigger piece. I'll let you go on that higher level that's a little more bit more difficult because you were faithful in these small things. You were obedient in these small things and we just have to get there.

Kristy

That's something that we can be mindful of right we can work toward that we can practice obedience certainly we can practice being courageous like when we don't when we when it doesn't make sense when it doesn't add up when we can't really see what this is like what are we going to gain from this or why are we why are we doing this? It feels like we're treading water you know I'm praying God please you know please change my circumstances this feels terrible and he just doesn't I think we can practice being courageous about the future.

Tony

Yeah I just one little thing and and I love where you're going one little thing that I just I really want to point out because I really want us to chew on this is that too often we think that that courage is a personality trait and it's not courage is something that can be learned. Oh yeah it's it's a it's a learned habit that that we can have and it's practiced through those small choices that that we make in that obedience.

Kristy

Absolutely uh to say I'm not someone who is brave I'm not someone who is courageous well then start being brave and start being courageous. And if you're not good at it and if it doesn't feel natural keep working on it because Tony's exactly right it is something you know that we can develop are some of us maybe born closer to it than others probably but I think anything is like that we're all born or given or develop over our unique experiences that God gave us through our path you know we all develop you know strengths different from each other. That's just that's part of the uniqueness of you know of what he has for us. Being courageous is something that he wants for all of us. And so yeah we should put the time in to work on it. I don't think that it it has to feel like a ton of work. It doesn't have to be overwhelming we're not we're not trying to do anything crazy. We're gonna focus on on obedience right obedience today faithfulness today you know today you know today is a banner day and I'm feeling amazing and so you know thank you God for that like whatever you have next I'm all in or today felt terrible and it was like the 117th day in a row that felt terrible because of this circumstance or this disability or this terrible boss or this you know financial situation, whatever it is. But I'm I'm gonna stand firm. I'm gonna be unshaken in my courage because I know that God has been before me, that he is with me and that wherever he's taking me, when I get there, he's gonna be waiting for me and he's gonna say, I'm so proud of you like here's a big fat hug. Let's go forward. And I think it just like lather rents repeat, right? That's how we live that's how we live in closeness in relationship with God is it by having the courage to keep doing whatever it is that he has for us on a daily basis. And it doesn't have to be everything at once you know it's what's happening right now where what does he want today? What does he want tomorrow? Like what is this season looking like and let's buckle in and you know and be obedient to that let's let's not go looking let's not borrow tomorrow's problems or successes. Let's stay in today and do what he has for us today. And I think when that feels particularly difficult or even when it feels particularly easy the answer is prayer right and it doesn't have to be like you know you don't have to stop what you're doing and and like make a list and you know it's not the now I lay me, you know, please bless mommy and dad like it could just be like as you go like God I'm having a hard time can you just please be with me thank you love you. Amen. You know it's just those those whispered you know requests for for just a little more just a little more closeness like please I'm having a hard time feeling you like please pull me closer. Please make me you know give me attention to what it is that you want me to see like and he's never gonna stop doing that. Like every time we ask, you know, he hears everything he hears every whispered murmured thought if we just feel it in our hearts like God I wish I could feel you closer. This feels so bad. He hears everything he knows everything. The more I think the more that we depend on him for that for like for courage and a feeling of safety in those uncertain moments the more he's going to bring us along and and like Tony said maybe that's how we level up is by that dependence and by that um just trust and the the confidence in in who he is and that he he is he's gone ahead of us and he is with us. He's been behind us in the past like God's timeline is all of it where we're just we're just plodding along on the path the whole path is where he is behind us with us and ahead of us.

Just as a reminder we have to give ourselves permission to grow slowly we say it on here all the time but it's a good reminder God is patient you don't have to solve for everything that is that has gone wrong in your entire life in one day or one week or one month. Yeah like take it one day at a time grow use this as a reminder and really use scripture as a re reminder there are so many things that that God promises to do speak those things. Find your favorite scriptures and put them on sticky notes put you know and when you have a a tough moment pull out one of those sticky notes and just read your favorite scripture again and say it out loud because we've we've learned so much that like whatever we say out loud our brain takes in our brain understands it and and takes it in more than just reading it. So so read literally read scripture out loud the our our anchor verse from Deuteronomy read it out loud the Lord himself goes before you and will be with you he will never leave you nor forsake you do not be afraid do not be discouraged yep it's uh Deuteronomy 31 eight what an awesome verse to read out loud as many times as you want every single day.

How encouraging is that like yep find worship music there's so many songs that remind us of his promises and of his um his sovereignty and his um just his faithfulness to us and his um his inability to fail um there's so much richness in that and a lot of that comes from scripture um you know whether directly or just by you know by concept whatever it is that helps you that encourages you to stay in communion with him in relationship with him and in reliance on him that's what you got to do. Because here's the thing we are never stepping into anything unknown alone. We are always stepping forward with him whether we realize it whether we think about it whether we're paying attention to it whether we're suffering unnecessarily because our ego wants us to think that we're doing it all by ourselves all alone no matter what he's still there we're still never going to be alone he is not going to be surprised about what's ahead he knows what's coming he knows what's coming for you and for me and for each one of us and all of those places all of the all of the next things all of the the outcomes like all of the the places that we're afraid of the distance between here and where we're going he's already there in that same vein and I I totally agree with everything you just said um and you said it beautifully I I just want to offer just a just a quick thought of encouragement.

If your future feels like empty or if it feels dark I want you to hear us clearly it's not empty God is already there in that future and the unknown to you is not unknown to him he's already there he's already preparing your way he's already mapping it out for you even if you yourself can't see it in this moment.

And what I I guess what I would add to that is each of us each like every single one of us was made to to reflect his glory to so that his greatness can shine through us and so even on these paths where we're fearful or maybe not as courageous as we wish we were in any given moment doesn't inhibit God's ability to to shine through us um and so whatever it is that we're doing whatever it is that we're facing if it's um you know the valley of the shadow of death it whatever the the hard thing is maybe it's a season of illness you know maybe it's a season of illness on lots of fronts and and it just feels like there's no security anywhere we look or maybe maybe it's like a depression around um just life circumstances or just a chemical thing or a disability sort of um that sometimes it's easier than others. I guess that's what I should say about all of this. He can still shine through us and and he does. It's not just like a potential thing he does. Lean into him. He's there for you he's there with you give him with every every ounce of your being just give him your trust give him the ability to shine through you because he doesn't need your cooperation to do that. But I think our mindfulness that it's happening can also be encouraging. It can also sort of light the path forward for us.

We're also here as your unshaken family if you know someone that that may maybe is struggling with confidence share this episode we do these so that we can reach as many people as as possible. As you think of people uh share this episode and let's help as many people as we can uh because I believe that God wants every single one of us to to walk in in the confidence that is him and we can do that and we can strengthen each other as we walk in in that confidence together.

Kristy

Father we come before you so grateful that you walk ahead of us and with us alongside us that wherever we are you're also there as we go forward each of us on our own path whether we know what's coming or or or we don't please help us to just lay down any fear that we have any uncertainty because we can trust that you are yourself that you are exactly who you say you are and who you always have been and who you always will be let us trust that you will be ahead of us that you're that you're there. And when we when our our courage falters when we fail please remind us to to come to you for that when it feels so hard remind us give us that little nudge from the spirit to just reach out and ask please you know please could you help us and as we you know as we wrap up each day whether it went the way that we thought it would or went some total different direction please just give us the ability to rest in security and in confidence because of your faithfulness because you always have been there and you always will be you've never let us down before and you will never let us down going forward. We love you. We're so grateful uh for for the planning that you do just this incredible matrix across humanity that you manage um with no sweat it is it is so complex and so beautiful and we're so grateful for that we're so grateful that before we were alive before even you know we we had any role in this world you knew what would come and you knew what you would bring. Thank you for the uniqueness of each of us and thank you for the ability to continue to grow in the gifts that you give us and please just help us to be responsible with these gifts that you give us let us do better and better every day to just shine your glory and to make you proud of us. We love you and all this we ask in Jesus' name amen.
